PasteOptions

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 March 2026

PasteOptions is a macOS clipboard history app. This privacy policy explains what the app stores, how it works, and what controls are available to users.

What PasteOptions does

PasteOptions can store a local history of copied text, images, and file references on your Mac so you can search and reuse them later.

Data collection

PasteOptions does not require an account and does not collect personal data for transmission to the developer.

Clipboard history storage

If you enable clipboard history, PasteOptions stores clipboard items locally on your device. Clipboard capture is off until you explicitly enable it.

Accessibility permission

PasteOptions may request macOS Accessibility permission if you choose to use the direct-paste feature. This permission is used only to paste a selected clipboard item back into the app you were previously using.

If you do not grant Accessibility permission, PasteOptions can still restore the selected item to the system clipboard for manual paste.

User controls

Children’s privacy

PasteOptions is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any future updates will be posted on this page.
