Support
PasteOptions is a macOS clipboard history app that lets you search, restore, and paste recent clipboard items with Option + V.
Common questions
- If direct paste is not working, open macOS System Settings and enable Accessibility access for PasteOptions.
- If you want the app to start when you log in, enable Launch at login in PasteOptions Settings.
- If you want to stop saving clipboard items temporarily, use Pause Capture from the menu bar item or Settings.
- If you need to remove saved clipboard history, use Clear Recent History or Clear All History in Settings.
Troubleshooting
- If the clipboard panel does not appear, confirm the global shortcut has not been claimed by another app.
- If automatic paste goes to the wrong place, switch to restore-only mode or turn off direct paste in Settings.
- If you copied something sensitive and do not want it retained, clear history from Settings immediately.
